Background

At age of 4 Clifton went to Farmington Agricultural Colony with his sister Brandi to be raised by his grandmother. He seldome heard from his parents thereafter and lived with his sister abd grandmother until age of 17. Due to the fact that the only industry on the planet was farming, Clifton applied to Starfleet Academy and after one rejection was later accepted.

His areas was study were Intelligence and survelliance among other general study programs, and his grades were average to above average but a few rule infractions during his time there led to 3 different incidents of disciplinary action. He graduated in the middle range of his class with an Academy record that was not remarkably impressive.

Past Assignments

Clifton's first assignment was aboard the USS Crazy Horse where he served in the separately Security and Tactical departments. He was transferred after 6 years aboard that vessel (at the age of 25) to a Federation colony near the Cardassian border where he worked as part of the Starfleet team running a monitoring station conducting long range surveillance of Cardassian space.

At the age of 30 he married a civilian woman named Kathleen-Patricia Aranson, and his career continued on a steady path and his was promoted to full Lieutenant. His personal life and career were largely uneventful until his wife was suddenly and inexplicably attacked and severely injured. The crime was never solved, despite the best efforts of local and Starfleet law enforcement agencies.

Four months after the incident Clifton was admitted to Ryatt Institute, a civilian Psychiatric hospital suffering from acute depression. He was suddenly released after four months of treatment at which time he was informed that his wife had terminated their marriage contract.

Shortly thereafter Clifton was assigned to Barrow Station, a remote Federation base as their Intelligence Officer.
